SEXOLOGICAL  BODYWORK

Sexological bodywork is integrative sex education that focuses on embodied learning. Whether you want to enhance your existing skills or get help with sexual issues, sexological body work will enable you to experience the changes directly through your body rather than just talking about them.

Sexological bodywork is often recommended by medical professionals and clinicians to address issues such as difficulties with arousal, orgasm, or engorgement, as well as to deepen self-awareness and access more sensation and pleasure. Sessions are client-led, trauma-informed, and designed to create a safe, respectful space for healing, growth, and empowerment.

Sexological bodywork is a regulated profession overseen by the Somatic Sex Educators Association of Australasia (SSEAA), ensuring practitioners adhere to a strict code of ethics.

Why is Sexological Bodywork so effective for sexual issues and challenges?

Over time, negative past experiences and learned behavioural patterns can create physical tension, emotional blockages, and unconscious protective mechanisms that manifest as sexual discomfort, pain, or anxiety. These deeply ingrained responses can unconsciously limit our capacity for intimacy and pleasure, creating cycles of tension and disconnection.

Sexological Bodywork uses somatic techniques to release those memories and patterns, teaching you to reconnect with your body and its natural ability to experience pleasure. By addressing both the physiological and psychological dimensions of sexual well-being, we work collaboratively to transform inhabitions and restrictive patterns while supporting your journey toward embodied healing and a more fulfilling sexual experience.

Sexological Bodywork for Personal Growth

Sexual pleasure is a universal experience available to everyone, no matter their body’s shape, size, or appearance. Every one of us has an innate ability to experience deep bodily pleasure and meaningful connection.

In a safe, non-judgmental space, we’ll explore embodied consent, foster curiosity, and help you uncover and articulate your unique desires and needs. Sexological bodywork cultivates a compassionate and curious relationship with your erotic self, opening the door to a more fulfilling experience of intimacy and sexual pleasure with yourself and others.

What to expect from a session?

Somatic sexology combines experiential learning, conversation and educational elements, helping you expand your skills and beliefs around sex, intimacy and relationships. You will be invited to practise research-backed exercises, all tailored to your specific needs, while I provide you with real-time guidance and feedback in a safe and supportive environment. There are many shapes learning can take in a session, from role playing, movement, sound and awareness, to anatomical understanding, breathwork and mindful touch – there is no one size fits all.

This work can be confronting, but that is also why it can be so incredibly powerful. Many of my clients have never spoken about certain issues before, or have never had an accepting space to explore them. With me, they do. As a warm, attuned, and deeply empathetic person, I show up as my authentic self in every session, creating a loving, encouraging atmosphere. I strive to meet my clients where they are and be guided by their intentions and pace. My sessions are a welcoming, supportive space for anyone and everyone to express themselves, explore vulnerable topics and be seen and celebrated, just as they are.

Questions?

  • As professionals equipped with specialized tools and knowledge, sexologist can help us overcome difficulties and enhance sexual satisfaction.

Here’s what happens in a typical office or Zoom visit with a somatic sexologist:

    1. The coach will listen to your experiences and feelings around the sexual issues you are having.

    2. They will ask you questions about the history of the problem, and find out all the information they need to help you.

    3. Depending on the specific approach they embrace as a coach (more on that below), they will talk with you about ways to address the problem. They might suggest videos or homework to watch. Practice tools in session could include breathwork, movement, self-touch, learning touch skills, and communication tools. And, always, they will help you move through shame and become more empowered around your sexual issues.

    4. Lastly, your coach will talk you through how you can further implement these changes into your life.

  • Modalities such as breath work, skills in touch, genital and anal work, education in arousal anatomy, massage, mindful erotic practice, scar tissue remediation and body mapping are offered as ways of deepening connection and facilitating learning.

Sexological Bodyworkers in Australasia are trained and certified through the Institute of Somatic Sexology. I am certified and a current member of the Somatic Sex Educators Association of Australasia and as such work in adherence to their professional code of ethics.

Some of the bounderies of the work are: Touch is one way (from practitioner to client) and protocols such as wearing gloves are adhered to during genital and anal touch.

Sexological Bodyworkers are erotic educators and offer deep experiential learning that is designed to awaken and enliven your sensual, sexual self. description

  • A relationship and intimacy coach is someone who supports individuals and couples in learning vital skills for relating, especially in and romantic relating. Intimacy coach teaches you to develop conflict resolution skills and offer tools to deepen intimacy and pleasure.

  • First off – it’s vital to know that sexological body worker and Intimacy coaching does not involve sex. Practitioners always keep their clothes on – the only professionals legally allowed to have sex with clients are sexual surrogates – and you must be in treatment with a sex therapist to see a surrogate legally.

That being said, sexological body worker and Intimacy coach can use hands-on methods to teach sexual skills. They can also practice certain types of touch and seduction, within legal boundaries. For example, teaching arousing types of touch for the body, physical disinhibition, and passionate touch.

  • Research shows that online therapeutic sessions are as effective as in-person ones. They even come with a whole set of additional benefits like:

    1. ACCESSIBILITY. There are plenty of physical barriers to accessing in-person professional help. Online sessions help sweep these geographic hurdles aside. Distance is no longer a barrier. There is someone ready and waiting to help you at the click of a button.

    2. TIME. In our hectic lives, ‘me time’ can be hard to come by. You might have a frantic schedule and work irregular hours. Or perhaps you’re a single parent or a carer who’s always racing against the clock. Online sessions fit comfortably around your schedule.

    3. PRIVACY. For some, online therapy offers a comforting sense of privacy. Plus there are plenty of security measures in place to protect your privacy online.

    4. HOME COMFORTS. Let’s face it: opening up and talking about how we’re really feeling can be tough, vulnerable and exposed. But, sometimes, it’s the little things that make it easier. Many folks feel more comfortable opening up online than in person. It may feel less daunting. Or perhaps you’d feel more at ease if you could snuggle up on your sofa with a cozy pair of bedroom slippers.

  • Yes. If you're experiencing low sex drive, loss of desire, or lack of intimacy in your marriage, working with a Somatic Sexologist can help you understand what's really happening beneath the surface and guide you toward reawakening your desire for sex and intimacy.

Low libido in women is rarely just a physical issue. Often, it's connected to having sex that doesn't feel good, missing emotional connection with your partner, unresolved resentment, stress and exhaustion, or simply not knowing what genuinely turns you on.

Together, we'll identify what's blocking your desire and create a personalised approach to reignite intimacy. You'll learn:

    • How to reconnect with pleasure in your body and everyday life, building the foundation for desire to return naturally

    • What genuinely arouses you and how to communicate and teach those needs effectively to your partner.

    • Tools to repair emotional disconnection and address unresolved resentment that kills attraction

    • Self-exploration practices to rediscover your sensual self without pressure or expectations

    • How to bring the spark back by creating more fulfilling intimate experiences that actually feel good

This isn't about fixing yourself—it's about reawakening parts of you that may have gone quiet for very good reasons.

  • I help men overcome erectile dysfunction and reclaim their sexual confidence through somatic sexology—a body-centered approach that creates lasting change, not temporary fixes.

Working together, you'll learn to get out of your head and into your body, transforming stress into arousal. I'll teach you practical techniques to stay present with sensation, build and sustain natural arousal, and shift focus from penis performance to genuine pleasure and connection.

You'll discover what truly excites you—mentally and physically—and develop the communication skills to express your desires and teach your partner how to best support you, reducing the pressure to perform. We'll address the deeper patterns contributing to your ED, whether that's performance pressure, relationship dynamics, or unmet needs for stimulation.

For those dealing with physical ED alongside medical treatment, I'll guide you in expanding your pleasure possibilities beyond erections, often leading to more fulfilling experiences than you thought possible.

What sets this approach apart is that you're not just getting erections back—you're becoming a more confident, present, and skilled lover.

  • Absolutely. If you're experiencing anorgasmia or difficulty reaching orgasm, working with a Somatic Sexologist can be transformative. Unlike traditional talk therapy, I use body-based techniques that help you experience what you're learning, not just discuss it intellectually.

Together, we'll identify what's blocking you from reaching climax—whether it's physical, emotional, or related to past experiences. Through hands-on guidance, you'll learn:

    • Breathwork and embodiment practices to help your body relax into higher states of arousal

    • Self-exploration techniques to discover what specific touch, pressure, and stimulation works for your unique body

    • How to quiet mental chatter and stay present in your body rather than being stuck in your head or spectating yourself from the outside

    • Communication skills to express your needs and guide your partner effectively

    • Mental lubrication to discover what mental stimulation enhances your arousal

Many women who felt stuck in this area have successfully learned to have more frequent and easier orgasms with consistent practice and professional guidance.

  • Intimacy Coaching is INTIMATE. It’s really important that we click. Before starting our first session, we will meet for a short introduction call (free of charge) and see if we suit and want to work together.

If I’m not able to support you, I will do my best to suggest other skilled practitioner who potentially can.

  • I welcome all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and relating styles. I work with people over 18 who come with an open mind and heart and have a genuine desire to learn, grow, and discover.

My practice is committed to accessibility and supporting people with disabilities. While my clinic is located upstairs, I offer home visits as an accommodation when clinic access is challenging.

  • While sex therapy can involve diving into childhood wounds with lingering effects on your adult life, somatic sexology focuses on actionable tools and exercises to help you overcome your erotic roadblocks.

Somatic sexologist often work in tandem with therapists, G.p’s, and other professionals.

  • The biggest issues couples face are around differences in beliefs and needs around money, sex, and child-rearing. While a Intimacy coach and a marriage coach have very similar approaches to these, couple’s therapy is quite different.

In couple’s therapy, you are limited to only talking through issues.

Intimacy coaching for couples, however – especially if it is somatically-based or experiential, offers tactile practices that help overcome challenging dynamics in a relationship. They can also help you to establish secure attachment, and provide tools for relationship repair during challenging times.
